Apple Cider Vinegar for Losing Belly Fat

Looking for Help Losing Belly Fat?
Maybe Apple Cider Vinegar?

I have been researching the benefits of apple cider vinegar, specifically when it comes to weight loss and losing belly fat.

Have you ever tried apple cider vinegar? It’s definitely something I hadn’t tried until the last several months

Over the past several months, I have been searching for healthy weight loss tips and how to keep progressing in my journey.

I have looked through a lot of videos on YouTube which has been a great source of information for me.

Some videos that I’ve been going through, they had suggested trying apple cider vinegar to help shrink belly fat.

I’ve been involved in intermittent fasting now for the past 8 months or so.

With fasting, I have experienced some great success, but my belly area has always been my trouble zone. It has definitely been the hardest to tackle!

Especially, as a woman with raging hormones certain times of the month! I know how hormones wreak havoc on the body.

It definitely affects the ability to lose weight in certain areas.

I’m no expert, but I definitely think hormones affect my body in some crazy ways sometimes!

Anyway, back to apple cider vinegar! I started intermittent fasting back in January.

If you want to see my experience with intermittent fasting, check out my first post here.

As much as I was seeing progress in other areas of my body, I was still having trouble with my midsection.

The more I read about the effects of apple cider vinegar, the more I figured why not give it a shot.

It was suggested to start small doses because it’s pretty potent.

When researching, I read to pick an apple cider vinegar that contained “the mother” because it’s more effective.

I had no idea what that meant since I’ve never tried it before , but ordered some apple cider vinegar off of Amazon and started with just ½ a teaspoon in a cup of water.

Even just ½ teaspoon, the taste was pretty awful. Only I did it first thing in the morning for the first week and the taste never got any better.

I was, however, able to just chug it down and then of course rinse my mouth to get rid of the taste afterwards!

I’m In for the Duration!

After the first week, I gradually increased the amount I was taking to 1 teaspoon, twice a day for a few weeks.

I noticed it was helping to curb a bit of cravings by having it first thing in the morning. Actually I read that curbing cravings was one benefit of drinking it.

Still not noticing much belly fat loss at this point, but I did notice that my frequent heartburn was no longer present!

I began searching again on YouTube looking specifically on apple cider vinegar for losing belly fat and found Dr. Berg.

He is someone I talk a lot about in my posts because he has a lot of great information.

That night, I did the same…put 2 tablespoons in a cup with a squeeze of lemon and filled up the glass.

This time, I didn’t stop. I chugged the whole glass!

What I did then was fill up a new glass with plain water just to drink a little to rinse out the taste.

It was still pretty strong, but adding the lemon helped.

I made it through and decided I’m committed to seeing if I can notice a difference even if the taste wasn’t great.

He has a video on the amount of apple cider vinegar to help shrink belly fat. I posted the video below.

The next day, I decided to try his suggestion. I got my glass out, put 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar, squeezed a bit of juice from the lemon in the glass.

Then I filled up the rest with water. I started to drink it, but I stopped half way into the cup of water and probably not a good idea!

It was pretty strong tasting even with the lemon squeezed in it. I almost didn’t finish the glass, but I continued on and drank the rest down quickly!

I See Change!

I continued this process day in and day out drinking it first thing in the morning and then just before I head to bed.

It wasn’t something I thought I would get used to. Certain brands are stronger than others, but the taste is still pretty nasty.

I was determined though to stick with it!

After a few months, I actually noticed my lower belly getting smaller. I was losing belly fat!

I was working out regularly and making healthier choices as well before, but not noticing much of a difference in my lower belly area.

Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised when I took out the measuring tape and noticed I had lost a few inches in my midsection as well as my lower belly area!

My lower belly has always been the hardest place to lose so seeing progress there I was thrilled!

“Is Apple Cider Vinegar Helping
Losing Belly Fat?”

I had a son almost 11 years ago.

When I gave birth, I had to have a c-section so there has always been some hanging belly fat there since that day.

After I had a baby, I had resigned myself to the fact that I will always have that belly and what was the point of trying to lose it.

I am being realistic though! Most likely, I won’t lose it all since I have read so much on belly fat after a c-section. I refuse to give up trying to lose what I can.

I’m not saying apple cider vinegar is the main factor that I’ve been seeing some progress in my belly loss.

There have been doing other activities I’m doing as well. I’ve been doing abdominal workouts, making healthier choices.

Better sleeping habits I’ve been trying to work on which I’ve heard helps as well.

Since incorporating apple cider vinegar into my daily routine, I personally believe it plays a significant role in my belly fat loss.

If you ask if I’ve gotten used to the taste of it, I would say not really! It’s still pretty strong tasting!

I still chug down the glass as fast as possible! There are other ways I have seen to mask the taste and make it almost like a lemonade drink.

Eventually I try that too, but for the time being I just drink it down fast.

First thing in the morning, drinking 2 tablespoons in the morning, I have to wait a bit before having my morning coffee.

The reason I wait is because I find it makes my stomach feel a bit off for a while.

As bitter as it tastes, I’m still going to continue drinking it.

I honestly feel it’s helping me on my journey in weight loss more specifically in my belly area which is my trouble zone!

Worth a Taste?

I am still on my weight loss journey and I still have a lot to learn when it comes to adapting to healthy habits, healthy choices, exercises, etc.

I’ve had many years of epic failures with weight loss plans for sure.

One thing I do know is that when it comes to weight loss, I need to be ready and willing to make the healthy choices I need to make to get to my goal.

If you can relate to my weight loss struggle and maybe have some belly fat to lose, consider trying apple cider vinegar.

There’s a ton of articles and videos on it and the benefits of using apple cider vinegar for weight loss.

It is definitely worth checking it out if you’re looking to give your weight loss a boost specifically if you are having trouble losing your belly fat.

It just may help you too!
